The Miami Hispanic Ballet Dance Series at Miami Beach Cinematheque

As part of the 16th Annual Ballet International Festival of Miami (Aug. 26 – Sept. 18th), Dance Films Association is proud to present selections from the Dance on Camera festival at Miami Beach Cinematheque. These films comprise of Dancing Dreams, the late Pina Bausch’s staging of her piece Kontakthof using teenage dancers; Claude Bessy: Lignes d’un Vie (Traces of a Life), a documentary about the famed French ballerina Claude Bessy, and short films celebrating Afro-Brazilian and Tibetan dance. The films begin at 5 pm, and tickets are $10 for adults, $9 for students and seniors, and $8 for MBC members. The program order is listed below.
