Experimental Film Virginia Logo_1_MARCH 15 Experimental Film Virginia is a two-week artist residency and festival where the production of short films, made on location, is coupled with art-soaked weekend events open to the public. Inspired by Eastern Shore culture and echoes of vintage Americana, EFV currently takes place in the town of Cape Charles, Virginia. Experimental Film Virginia hosts an intern program in collaboration with Dance Films Association and invite Guest Artists, Resident Artists, Performers, Interns and Production Artists from all over the world to join us for an intense investigation of the short film format, inspired by dance. Join us for an evening of short dance-inspired films featuring 15 new short films hot off the press. Pre-show music by EFV 2016 artist Su, Yuhan. This event is co-sponsored by the Taiwan Ministry of Culture, Dance Films Association and Experimental Film Virginia.   The 2016 Guest Artists include: • Davide Ferrario, Italian Independent filmmaker who will feature the Hollywood actor, Chris Cooper in a short film currently projected for filming on a private island near Tangier. He arrives with Producer/Manager Francesca Bocca, also with RossoFuoco Films. • Adi Halfin, from Israel, via Berlin award-winning music video director returns for a second year to EFV joined by New York-based, former Batsheva dancer, Bobbi Jene Smith. • Documentary Filmmaker Dana Shalev who will explore historical threads of race and culture on the Eastern Shore.   Read more about EFV’s activities and past events in this local press segment from The Pilot Virginia!
