DUET TWO WAYS: A WORKSHOP

Ms. Newman conducted a one day dance-on-camera workshop
with beginning students for The Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company. The
objective was to introduce the students to basic shooting and editing
considerations utilizing the duet section from Dorfman’s work “Tikkun”.
The result is a student product which examines artistic choices through
two renditions of the same material. This film was designed to help orient a new audience as to how to look
at screen dance.
