Dance Film Lab Masterclass: Camera Operation & Shooting Strategies: Amy Greenfield with Jeremiah Story

Join us on October 12th, 2011 for a Master Class on Camera Operation & Shooting Strategies with Amy Greenfield, 7:30-10 pm in Studio 6 at Dance New Amsterdam, 280 Broadway. Topics will include: basic understanding of camera operation, shooting strategies, and concrete concepts and methods to enable artists to have more formalized approach to their filming process.

AmyAmy Greenfield is an award-winning experimental dance film-maker whose work has been screened at the Museum of Modern Art, Berlin Film Festival, National Gallery, New York Film Festival, Dance On Camera/Lincoln Center and more. The Whitney Museum of American Art writes, “Amy Greenfield shows us how camera and human movement can be ecstatically joined together.” Jeremiah Story is a professional cinematographer and former dancer.
Dance Film Lab is a program of Dance Films Association, hosted by Dance New Amsterdam, and funded by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Organized and directed by Zach Morris of Third Rail Projects, the Dance Film Lab is a community-building, monthly series for dance filmmakers to gather; share information, methods, and tools; and address technical, practical and artistic challenges.
