A wonderful whirlwind

Christy Park, DFA Executive Director

It’s been such a pleasure to meet so many members, partners, artists, producers, organizations and friends associated with DFA during my first month at DFA. Last night I went to the NYWIFT event at Anthology Film Archives, and Thursday I’ll be attending the PGA East event below – please join me and be sure to introduce yourself!

Meanwhile, keep checking this page, because I plan to continue making introductions between the wonderful partners who are helping DFA step up to the next level. Below are some recent connections.

Do you: – Have an idea for a film and are you looking into funding from private sponsors and public grants? – What does it mean when funders are asking for a fiscal sponsor or a not for-profit organization? – When should you set up a non-profit organization versus using a fiscal sponsor? – Can you actually make money with a non-profit organization? And if so, how?
