Dance Films Association Curated Page on Kickstarter

Joining many esteemed peers in the creative arts, non-profit sector, DFA seeks to support dance filmmakers through our Curated Page on Kickstarter. We serve the individual artist by supporting their project and simultaneously establish community through our specific dance film focus. Visit our page, back these innovative artists, and join the creative funding movement. Want your project curated on our Kickstarter page? Please take time to look at our page to see the projects we curate and then email brighid@dancefilms.org to inquiry and get the conversation. What is Kickstarter? Kickstarter is a new way to fund creative projects. We believe that: • A good idea, communicated well, can spread fast and wide. • A large group of people can be a tremendous source of money and encouragement. Kickstarter is powered by a unique all-or-nothing funding method where projects must be fully-funded or no money changes hands.

What are Curated Pages? Curated Pages are a way for people to discover projects curated by some of the world’s foremost creative communities. You can check them all out here.

How do I pledge? To pledge to a project, just click the green “Back This Project” button on any project page. You will be asked to input your pledge amount and select a reward. From there, you will go through the Amazon checkout process. Note that you must finish the Amazon checkout process for your pledge to be recorded.

How do I start a project? Click the green “Start Your Project” button on the Start page. That will take you through the process of building your project. All projects must meet Kickstarter’s Project Guidelines and all creators must meet Amazon Payments’ eligibility requirements.
