Post your short films using the hashtags #mydancefilm & #DOCF20thru24July, and join our social media campaign. 

Use @dancefilms on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook to flag our attention.

Get your film OUT THERE with our #mydancefilm DANCE ON CAMERA FESTIVAL campaign.

Winners’ films will be screened during this year’s festival in the Amphitheater at Lincoln Center.

Post your #mydancefilm by 11:59pm, July 15. Winning films will screen July 22 at 4:30pm.

   
Participate NOW by showing us your own dance films using #mydancefilm and #DOCF20thru24July with their posts on social media.  
Check out our Instagram Page for examples & these Opportunity Guidelines:
1. Show us your short films, flagging our attention with the hashtags: #mydancefilm #DOCF20thru24July
2. Add our handle @dancefilms, so we get a notification.
3. Dance Films Association, @dancefilms, will search social media sites: Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook using #mydancefilms #DOCF20thru24July.
4. Note: You can post your films on youtube or vimeo then use the URL to make a Facebook or Twitter post. Be sure to use the hashtags #mydancefilm #DOCF20thru24July and give us the link. 
5. Post your films by July 15, 2018 to be considered for the Amphitheater screening.

THE DANCE ON CAMERA FESTIVAL IS CO-PRESENTED BY DANCE FILMS ASSOCIATION AND THE FILM SOCIETY OF LINCOLN CENTER

Connecting artists and organizations, fostering new works for new audiences, and sharing essential resources, DFA seeks to be a catalyst for innovation in and preservation of dance on camera. Currently, DFA is actively seeking to broaden its audience via new media initiatives and membership drives, to support cutting edge approaches to dance documentation, and to expand partnerships with schools, arts partners, media sites, and other institutions. Alongside the Dance on Camera Festival, DFA conducts year round programming such as the Dance Film Lab, Dance Films Presents, and Capturing Motion NYC and additionally acts as a Fiscal Sponsor and offers a Production Grant.
NYCulture_no bg Dance Films Association receives generous year-round support for Dance on Camera Festival from our members, The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council, The Office of the Mayor Bill De Blasio, and Commissioner Tom Finkelpearl, as well as The New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
