Dance Film Lab is an informal work-in-progress screening centered on discussion and moderated by filmmaker Anna Rose Holmer (one of Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces of Independent Film 2015”). These sessions offer a fun and creative space to gather and share information on methods and tools, and address technical, practical, and artistic challenges, while providing artists with process-related feedback.
Attend the Lab:
The screening will feature three to five films in various stages of production, and will be followed by a meetup at the Media Center’s Cafe Cuper. Take this opportunity to connect with artists and audiences, and continue your discussions outside the theater! Drinks and food will be available for purchase.

Submit Your Work:

Interested artists may submit their project via the Dance Film Lab submissions page.

A few things to consider when submitting your work:
  • Dance Film Lab welcomes everyone from seasoned filmmakers to those beginning to work in the medium.
  • Entrants must be able to attend the upcoming Lab on April 24.
  • Submissions may be from film projects of any length and in any stage of production. Due to time constraints during the Lab, up to 15 minutes of a project can be screened. We ask that you make note of excerpt(s) of your work.
  • Our programmers will ask for HD files of your film (ProRes, h264 preferred), and film stills.
  • It is FREE to submit your work to be considered for this Lab
  • Questions? Drop us a line at info@dancefilms.org
